Assessment with Critical Incidents
The Learner
Step 1 – Learner completes the CI reflective Account:
- Description of activity
- Unit specific reflective account for one or more Units

- For each Unit the detail of how the activity met the requirements is also added, using the Unit Descriptors to provide the relevant Performance Criteria etc.

The Learner & Assessor together
Step 2 – An assessment plan is agreed between Assessor and Learner

Note each Unit requirement met by the CI is listed. You could also choose to assess further Units met by the single CI at another time, especially where there is a lot of things to discuss (when doing the Professional Discussion) for each Unit.
Step 3 – Assessment occurs
Step 4 – Assessor makes decision, provides feedback
