The HEaTED project is designed to bring the Higher Education Technical/Specialist community
together across the whole of the UK. In partnership with the IST the project will develop and deliver a
specialist Virtual Learning Environment for HEATED subscribers. To take advantage of these facilities your organisation needs to first register with the IST.
HEaTED is an agenda for change in the way the HE sector supports and develops its 30,000 technical staff. Its core mission is to gain their direct involvement in the project as users and, crucially, as providers.
Currently, HEaTED provides the means that enables UK HE technicians to meet and to network as a community for development projects. It can represent technical and specialist staff within HEIs on a national platform, paving the way for professional recognition within the sector.

The conference aims to not only outline our vision for the next ten years, but also to explore partnerships and strategies across HE that will deliver world class UK technical services, and provide our students with the best possible learning support.
The following groups have expressed active support for IST and the HEaTED Project and where possible will be contributing to the the materials/resources development.
