IST VOCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
IST has, since the early 1950s, taken an active role in the education, training and qualification of science laboratory technicians. This involvement extends throughout the United Kingdom and overseas and covers schools, colleges, universities, medical research centres and all sectors of industry.
PVQ/CVQ
The Instutute has devised a scheme to meet the vocational qualification and training needs of the many thousands of science technicians. This scheme is designed to meet the preliminary and core qualification requirements of any science technician. The scheme is designed to assess whether a candidate can apply his or her knowledge and skills competently in the work place.
THERE ARE NO PRE-ENTRY REQUIREMENTS OR LEARNING/TRAINING METHODS SPECIFIED FOR THE SCHEME.
